MG Partners is looking for talented young colleagues

We are currently looking for two types of interns: a regular intern (with relevant experience) and a Deal Origination intern (experience not required).

1. Regular Internship

At MG Partners, we are continuously looking for talented interns with a strong affinity for private equity to strengthen our investment team. During your internship, you will experience a steep learning curve and gain a solid introduction to the world of private equity.

From day one, you will be a full member of the team and gain hands-on experience in all phases of the investment process. You will work closely with the entire team, alongside 1–2 fellow interns, and be actively involved in discussions with entrepreneurs, advisors, and investors. Outside of work, we regularly organize team drinks and dinners.

What will you do?

  • Explore and analyze markets for new investment opportunities

  • Support investment decisions with investment memos and financial models

  • Be fully involved in due diligence processes for new acquisitions

  • Identify suitable add-ons for MG Partners’ portfolio companies (“buy & build”)

  • Help develop and execute value creation roadmaps for portfolio companies

  • Actively contribute to discussions with entrepreneurs, advisors, and investors

Who are you?

  • You have completed a university bachelor’s degree in Finance or another field (if not Finance, your CV must clearly show affinity with Finance)

  • You are analytical and entrepreneurial, with a strong sense for numbers

  • You communicate clearly and enjoy working in a team

  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written

  • You have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • You are available full-time for at least 4 months

  • Previous internship or work experience (e.g. in M&A, private equity, or consulting) is a plus

2. Deal Origination Intern

A unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at an investment firm early in your studies. MG Partners is looking for a proactive and entrepreneurial intern who will focus on deal origination and market exploration.

Do you have a commercial mindset, think creatively, and want to help find the next top investments? Then this is your chance to be at the front line of private equity.

During this internship, you will be responsible for building deal flow. You will work closely with the investment team and have plenty of room to test and implement your ideas. You will work from the MG Partners office and be a full team member from day one. Outside of work, we regularly organize team drinks and dinners.

What will you do?

  • Identify and screen companies

  • Conduct market and sector analyses to identify attractive investment areas

  • Prepare factsheets and company profiles for meetings

  • Develop creative outreach strategies to approach interesting companies

  • Contact entrepreneurs by phone to introduce MG Partners

  • Research tools and technologies to improve and automate the deal origination process

  • Work with and further develop the CRM system and deal database

  • Schedule meetings with entrepreneurs and companies

Who are you?

  • You have completed or are pursuing a university bachelor’s degree

  • You are creative, entrepreneurial, and commercially driven

  • You enjoy actively reaching out to entrepreneurs

  • You work in a structured and independent way, but also function well in a team

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written

  • You are available for at least 2 months

  • You are available at least 3 days per week

3. Fundraising Intern

A unique opportunity to gain experience in private equity alongside your studies and be directly involved in attracting investors. MG Partners is looking for a proactive and communicatively strong intern focused on fundraising and investor relations.

During this internship, you will play an important role in expanding our investor network. You will help identify and approach potential investors and support the preparation of presentations and events. You will work closely with the team and be a full member of MG Partners from day one. Outside of work, we regularly organize team drinks and dinners.

What will you do?

  • Compile lists of potential investors (family offices, HNWIs, funds)

  • Actively approach investors via cold calling and email

  • Support the development and improvement of fundraising strategies

  • Assist in creating presentations and investor decks (PowerPoint)

  • Help organize and attend events

  • Maintain and structure investor pipelines and CRM systems

Who are you?

  • You are in the bachelor’s or master’s phase of a university degree

  • You are a strong communicator and not afraid of outreach (cold calling)

  • You have a commercial and proactive mindset

  • You work in a structured and detail-oriented way

  • You have an affinity with finance, private equity, or investments

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written

  • You are available at least 2 days per week
