  • Revenue € 5-100 million
    Businesses with a stable character, (partly) recurring revenue, positive cashflow and good growth prospects, organically and possibly through add-on investments.
  • Theme Focus
    We invest in companies that are active in a select number of sectors. Companies with a stable basis (good market positions, satisfied customers) and a good product and / or service.
  • Buy-outs and growth funding
    Flexible approach with a preference for buy-outs or growth capital, where a minority stake is optional. We can facilitate in pre-exits or succesion of entrepreneurs.
  • Dutch
    Head office in The Netherlands.

The Team
René Manchester

René founded MG Partners together with Sjoerd in 2018. Growing up in a family business he gained all aspects of entrepreneurship. Worked in private equity for 5 years at HAL Investments where he was responsible for a number of investments. Has a bachelor and master degree in Chemistry/Physics from Utrecht University.

Sjoerd van der Grift

Sjoerd founded MG Partners together with René in 2018. Has been active in family businesses and worked in private equity for 6 years at Bencis Capital Partners, focused on supporting the growth of multiple medium-sized Dutch businesses. Has a bachelor in Natural Sciences (Utrecht University) and a master in Finance (VU Amsterdam).

Menno van der Meer

After 12 years of PWC Corporate Finance and 13 years at Bencis Capital Partners, Menno van der Meer joined MG Partners, out of the desire to become more active in a more entrepreneurial way. He has more than 25 years of M&A and private equity experience and an extensive network in the Dutch industry.

Marvin de Jong

Marvin de Jong comes from an SME entrepreneurial family and he worked for 12 years at the Amsterdam-based investment bank Kempen & Co, where he was co-responsible for running the private equity investment fund. He was also actively involved at several portfolio companies. Before that, Marvin was active for five years in various private equity roles at the Private Investments department of Van Lanschot Bankiers.

Dennis Korver

Dennis Korver also comes from an entrepreneurial family. After gaining experience at Lindenaar & Co and Van Deursen participations, he joined MG Partners to further develop his skills in the investment profession.

Steven Stuijt

Steven Stuijt has 7 years of experience in the field of M&A and Corporate Finance and previously was Associate Director at investment boutique Nielen Schuman.

Gijs Romer

Gijs Romer has 7 years of experience in private equity. He began his career at ABN AMRO in a rotation program within the Structured Finance division, including a work period at CapitalA Investment Partners. Subsequently, Gijs worked for several years in the investment team of the ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund, where he completed various private equity investments, including those in energy transition and circularity. Gijs holds a double Master's degree from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Marlin Broeks

Marlin Broeks has 3 years of experience at PGGM, first as a quant on public markets and then in the private equity team where he focused on co-investments and fund investments, mainly in technology and healthcare sectors. Has a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences (Utrecht University), master's degree in Epidemiology (Utrecht University) and Business Economics (University of Amsterdam) and is a CFA Charterholder.
